A quick post today, because as we have discussed previously, Tuesday is the new Monday, and since yesterday was a Monday in every sense of the word, that works out to two Mondays in a row. Which means I must turn on MacFreedom very soon and do All The Things.
The winners of the Bound in the Wild Contest are Jenny W and Sabine! I'll be contacting you to get your mailing address. Thanks to everyone who participated -- it was such a treat to see the book in so many different places!
Meanwhile, fall TV season is upon us! I make no secret of the fact that I infinitely prefer TV to movies, because I tend to fall in love with a character, and a movie gives me two hours with them, whereas a series gives me 13-26 hours. That being said, there's not a ton of new shows I'm looking forward to this season: I'll stick with Revolution for a bit longer because I am fascinated by JJ Abrams, but yesterday's pilot was underwhelming, so there had better be some Season-One-Alias-style awesomness en route or I'll bail.
Revolution aside, here are the shows I'm looking forward to:
The Mindy Project: I've seen the pilot online and while I tend not to watch shows about "adorkable" people, I will make an exception for Mindy Kaling's snarky, messed-up self.
Arrow: Because I love superheros, and the grittier the better.
But the show I'm most excited about? Last Resort, with Andre Braugher and Felicity's Ben. Frankly, I would watch Andre Braugher recite the phone book, so it didn't take much to sell me, but I do love some high-stakes political intrigue and flawed-yet-noble protagonists. Also, if there is any TV critic in the world I trust, it is Mo Ryan, and she has good things to say about it.
So...what new shows are you excited about?
